Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CMM / Process Improvement Specialist to oversee process standardization, documentation, and compliance in line with Capability Maturity Model (CMM/CMMI) frameworks. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate, design, and improve organizational processes, ensuring alignment with quality and maturity objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the current maturity of organizational processes against CMM/CMMI standards.

  • Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.

  • Coordinate CMM/CMMI assessments, audits, and appraisals (SCAMPI or equivalent).

  • Work with project teams to implement process improvements that enhance performance, quality, and compliance.

  • Train and guide teams on CMM/CMMI practices, templates, and process adherence.

  • Define and monitor Key Process Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track maturity progress.

  • Collaborate with quality assurance, project management, and engineering teams to align processes with business goals.

  • Identify process gaps and recommend practical, measurable improvements.

  • Support organizational readiness for CMMI Level 3 or higher certification or recertification.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management, or related field.

  • 4 8 years of experience in process management, quality assurance, or CMMI implementation.

  • Strong understanding of CMM/CMMI frameworks (Level 2 5) and process maturity assessments.

  • Experience preparing for or leading CMMI appraisals (SCAMPI A/B/C).

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, Agile, and ITIL frameworks.

  • Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work across departments and drive process adoption and compliance.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified CMMI Associate / Lead Appraiser / CMMI Practitioner.

  • Experience implementing CMMI-DEV or CMMI-SVC models.

  • Exposure to process automation (BPM) or workflow optimization tools.

  • Knowledge of software engineering or project management methodologies.
