Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CMM / Process Improvement Specialist to oversee process standardization, documentation, and compliance in line with Capability Maturity Model (CMM/CMMI) frameworks. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to evaluate, design, and improve organizational processes, ensuring alignment with quality and maturity objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess the current maturity of organizational processes against CMM/CMMI standards.
Develop, document, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
Coordinate CMM/CMMI assessments, audits, and appraisals (SCAMPI or equivalent).
Work with project teams to implement process improvements that enhance performance, quality, and compliance.
Train and guide teams on CMM/CMMI practices, templates, and process adherence.
Define and monitor Key Process Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track maturity progress.
Collaborate with quality assurance, project management, and engineering teams to align processes with business goals.
Identify process gaps and recommend practical, measurable improvements.
Support organizational readiness for CMMI Level 3 or higher certification or recertification.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Management, or related field.
4 8 years of experience in process management, quality assurance, or CMMI implementation.
Strong understanding of CMM/CMMI frameworks (Level 2 5) and process maturity assessments.
Experience preparing for or leading CMMI appraisals (SCAMPI A/B/C).
Familiarity with ISO 9001, Agile, and ITIL frameworks.
Excellent documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work across departments and drive process adoption and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certified CMMI Associate / Lead Appraiser / CMMI Practitioner.
Experience implementing CMMI-DEV or CMMI-SVC models.
Exposure to process automation (BPM) or workflow optimization tools.
Knowledge of software engineering or project management methodologies.
