Job Details

Position: Network Engineer

Hybrid - Indianapolis, IN- 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Direct Hire

$80-100K salary, depending on experience

This position is NOT eligible for C2C or sponsorship

Summary:

- Oversee and enhance enterprise-level network operations.

- Install, manage, and optimize network hardware and software.

- Ensure 24/7 network availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and maintain network infrastructure, including WAN, LAN, WLAN, and VPN.

- Document networking hardware configurations and essential details.

- Assess network performance, recommend improvements, and ensure disaster recovery readiness.

- Collaborate with security teams for network monitoring, compliance, and auditing.

- Conduct advanced troubleshooting and analysis of network issues.

- Support management with reports for budgeting and network resource allocation.

- Ensure network infrastructure is available and performant 24/7 in line with service objectives.

- Lead network projects, upgrades, and explore new network access methods.

- Support Operations Team to fulfill service agreements.

- Provide after-hours emergency support for network issues.

- Mentor and technically guide Tier I & II staff, assisting in skill enhancement.

- Implement problem-solving and change control methods as directed by Senior Engineers.

- Take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's in Computer Science/Technology or equivalent experience.

- 3 years of experience in operational networking and telecommunications.

- Proficient in networking technologies, connectivity, and protocols.

- Experience with Cisco routers/switches, Palo Alto, routing protocols, firewalls, wireless technologies, F5 s, and VoIP is beneficial.

- CCNA Certification is mandatory; CCNP is preferred.

- Comprehensive knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN Switching, Routing, VLANs, ACLs, and security protocols.

- Knowledgeable in Quality of Service (QoS) for LAN/WAN and Wireless networks.

- Experienced with MPLS, various wireless technologies, and network troubleshooting tools.

- Skilled in managing Enterprise network infrastructure and ensuring system resilience.

- Capable of efficiently addressing numerous network support tasks simultaneously.
