The likely salary range for this position is $139,984 - $184,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

As a Cloud Engineer Sr Principal, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of FSA You will play a crucial role in ***describe how the role will have an impact on the customer's mission***.
Lead/Manage/Support multiple development teams by leveraging our DevSecOps and Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) tools and processes, build out efficient systems and tools
Collaborate with development teams and technical ops teams
Drive innovation in tools and develop solutions to a variety of highly complex engineering problems
Utilize GitLab, Jira, Confluence, AWS Lambda, REST API, Kubernetes deployment and orchestration Cucumber, Terraform, Sonatype, Nexus, Sonarqube, DataDog and more
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Technical skills:
- Support microservice application development scrum teams with code deployments leveraging Kubernetes Application containerization and orchestration solution
- Create automation scripts that integrates Gitlab pipeline tool with supporting DecSecOps tools such as automated testing and security scanning tools as part of the AppDev lifecycle
- Monitor non-production environment and troubleshoot issues that arise
- Experience with cloud-native software architecture frameworks - including Open-Source and Commercial distributions (OCI-compliant containerized microservices, REST API, Kubernetes deployment and orchestration) and Cloud-based services (AWS Lambda, EKS, Azure DevOps, AKS)
- Application Monitoring CI/CD pipeline automation solutions (i.e., Jira, GitLab, Selenium, Cucumber, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Sonatype Nexus, New Relic, AppDynamics etc.)
- Cloud-native application architecture and design experience including containerized microservice, service mesh, API, and event-driven architectures
- Experience with Application containerization and orchestration solutions (i.e., Kubernetes)
- Experience with cloud-native software architecture frameworks - including Open-Source and Commercial distributions (OCI-compliant containerized microservices, REST API, Kubernetes deployment and orchestration) and Cloud-based services (AWS Lambda, EKS, Azure DevOps, Helm Charts, Umbrella Helm, AKS)
- Experience developing and scaling engineering solutions for both structured and unstructured data
