- They can either be in Ft. Hood & travel to Ft. Polk

Job Description
The Material Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the movement, accountability, and documentation of Army equipment and materiel at a contractor-managed equipment turn-in site. This role ensures smooth flow of equipment through the turn-in process, compliance with Army supply regulations and contract requirements, and accurate updates to logistics systems. The Material Coordinator works closely with supply, warehousing, and transportation staff to ensure all equipment is received, classified, staged, and processed for accountability and disposition.
Material Coordination & Turn-In Support:
- Coordinate the receipt, staging, and movement of equipment turned in by Army units.
- Ensure proper sequencing and prioritization of items for inspection, accountability, and storage.
- Track status of turn-ins from initial receipt through final disposition.
- Support high-volume, mass turn-in operations by managing workflow and resource allocation.
Documentation & Records Management:
- Review and validate supply documents such as DA Form 1348-1A, DD Form 200, hand receipts, and condition codes.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry into Army systems such as GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP.
- Maintain logs, spreadsheets, and reports for daily, weekly, and monthly activity.
- Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate and compliant material records.
Warehousing & Material Handling Support:
- Coordinate with warehouse staff for storage, location management, and retrieval of equipment.
- Ensure proper tagging, labeling, and segregation of serviceable, unserviceable, and HAZMAT items.
- Monitor availability and safe use of material handling equipment (MHE).
Transportation Coordination:
- Work with transportation staff to schedule and track incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare cargo movement requests, shipping documentation, and load plans in accordance with Army and DTR standards.
- Ensure accountability during loading, movement, and offloading of equipment.
Customer & Army Unit Support:
- Assist unit supply personnel during turn-in to resolve documentation discrepancies.
- Serve as a liaison between contractor site staff, Army units, and the Contracting Officer s Representative (COR).
- Provide responsive customer service to supported units while maintaining compliance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate s in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- 3 5 years of logistics, supply, or materiel management experience.
- Prior U.S. Army or contractor experience in equipment turn-in or supply support activities (SSA) strongly preferred.
Knowledge Requirements:
- Army supply regulations: AR 710-2, AR 735-5, DA PAM 710-2-1.
- Army logistics systems: GCSS-Army, DPAS, LMP, TC-AIMS II.
- Familiarity with Army documentation and condition coding requirements.
