Senior Software Engineer

Our client is seeking a Senior Radar Engineer in Trumbull, CT.

Responsibilities: 

This position requires a flexible individual with experience in designing radar modes and developing related signal processing algorithms. The work includes:

• Designing air-to-air and air-to-surface radar modes including Ground and Maritime Moving Target Indication (GMTI/MMTI) and Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) imaging
• Developing innovative radar signal processing algorithms for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) applications
• Implementing high fidelity simulations to evaluate radar system performance
• Testing new signal processing techniques on measured and/or simulated radar data

Required Qualifications:   

• B.S. or M.S. (preferred) in Electrical Engineering (EE), Physics, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline
• Programming skills in MATLAB, C/C++, or similar high level computer language with 5+ years of related work experience
• Adept at radar modeling and simulation, software development and testing, mathematical analysis, and technical writing
• Knowledge of radar theory and principles
• Understand radar system design, real-time radar signal processing and/or radar data

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD Clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications:

• M.S. in EE
• More than 10 years of experience
• Programming skills in MATLAB
• Experience designing, simulating, and evaluating GMTI/MMTI and SAR modes
