Data Control Quality Lead with Audit Experience

MUST be local to New York City, Hybrid Schedule, at least 3 days onsite

Salary Range: $160k to $200k

Spearhead Enterprise Data Quality & Control Discovery, including supporting initiatives to improve the ongoing operation of the program such as policies, standards and execution related to issue identification, root cause analysis/evaluation, remediation, closure, monitoring, reporting, and escalation to promote comprehensive and timely issue resolution and data across the enterprise.

The role will function as the connection point between Data Quality, Control execution, the federated data stewards and key Business use case initiatives.

You will be required to lead workstreams and reviews and provide directions to a variety of stakeholders. Serve as a day-to-day lead for individual workstreams and will be accountable for the completion of Use case development deliverables such as current state decomposition, lineage initiation, identification of data and business controls, assessment of these controls and proposed gap remediation. The initial focus will be on critical reporting use cases but this is expected to expand beyond regulatory pressures in 2025 and beyond. This function is a critical component of Use case initiation and will act as front of house for many other EDMO functions and personnel.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of audit and data discovery professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.

Audit Processes:

  • Design and implement discovery frameworks and methodologies to assess risk mitigation and inventory control environment
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews to evaluate internal controls and compliance with policies, regulations and use requirements.
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for corrective actions.

Data Discovery:

  • Oversee data discovery processes to initiate use case capture and lineage initiation while also noting trends and providing insights from other in processes initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
  • Utilize advanced analytics tools and techniques to derive actionable insights.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, and assess operational and data risks through rigorous review and probative analysis in support of business use cases.
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies in alignment with Attestation and Issue management.
  • Provide recommendations to Data domains and senior management on risk mitigation.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of ten years of experience in finance, health or other highly regulated industry.
  • Proven experience in Audit, control evaluation, risk management, or data analytics.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading / directing deliverables, providing recommendations and taking initiative on projects or team tasks.
  • Highly organized with an ability to lead team members within individual workstreams or reviews.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with colleagues across disparate businesses, regions and cultures.
  • Experience in development of business frameworks, control frameworks, issue remediation across business process or technology, possibly in a consulting or strategy role.
