seeking a highly skilled Selenium Test Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Playwright to support large-scale financial applications. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in building automation frameworks, test scripting, CI/CD integration, and validating mission-critical platforms in a regulated financial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks using Playwright and Selenium/WebDriver.

  • Automate functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing for complex financial applications.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product owners, and QA leads to understand requirements and define test strategies.

  • Participate in sprint planning and Agile ceremonies, ensuring proper test coverage and quality gates.

  • Maintain automated test scripts and optimize execution performance across multiple environments (Cloud, Web, API).

  • Implement CI/CD-based automated execution using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab pipelines.

  • Perform API testing using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar frameworks.

  • Troubleshoot failures, debug issues, and prepare detailed defect reports using JIRA or equivalent defect tracking tools.

  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, security guidelines, and audit processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in QA Automation with strong command in both manual and automation testing.

  • Proven hands-on experience with:

    • Playwright Automation

    • Selenium WebDriver

    • Test frameworks: PyTest, TestNG, NUnit, or JUnit

  • Strong programming knowledge in Python / Java / TypeScript/ JavaScript (any one is must; multi-skill preferred).

  • Expertise with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, or similar).

  • Experience in API Testing using Postman, Rest-Assured, Karate, or Playwright API.

  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum) environments.

  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-based execution is a plus.

  • Knowledge of Banking/Financial domain is highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Playwright certification or proven enterprise-level framework delivery experience.

  • Experience in performance testing (LoadRunner, JMeter) is an added advantage.

  • Knowledge of enterprise security and compliance testing.
