Level 3 & 4 Data Center Technician

Schedule:
Shift Options:
  • A side Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, & Every other Wednesday (Overtime when every other Wednesday is worked)
  • A side Nights: Same days as above except 6p - 6a
  • B side Days: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, & Every other Wednesday 6a - 6p (Overtime when every other Wednesday is worked)
  • B side Nights: Same as Above except 6p - 6a.

Location: Onsite in Mt. Pleasant, WI

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and break-fix tasks on GPUs, servers, network devices, and cabling.
  • Manage tickets and workflow using ITSM tools.
  • Deploy and configure GPUs in servers, ensuring proper installation and functionality.
  • Land fully populated GPU or network racks, including rack movement, baying, leveling, grounding, and containment systems.
  • Interpret BOMs to ensure all materials are accounted for.
  • Install, test, and label copper and fiber infrastructures; handle optical modules (SFPs, QSFP).
  • Scope and clean fibers (SC, LC, MPO styles).
  • Rack and stack equipment; patch fiber and copper cables.
  • Lead and manage team activities related to data center operations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety measures and data center standards.
  • Provide documentation and daily communication using MS Office and tracking tools.
  • Travel as required.

Requirements

  • Deployment and/or break-fix experience in a data center environment.
  • Expertise in GPU and network rack deployments.
  • Strong knowledge of Ethernet cabling technologies (copper, fiber SM/MM/MPO).
  • Experience with optical modules (SFP, QSFP) and fiber cleaning.
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Familiarity with DC power and DC-powered equipment.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a Microsoft data center environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of telecom engineering designs for enterprise-level data centers.

This is a Contract position based out of Mount Pleasant, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $46.20 - $46.20/hr.
