Position Overview
Client is seeking an experienced Senior AI / Python Developer with strong expertise in advanced model development, large-scale data architecture, generative AI, and modern Python frameworks. This role involves building scalable AI-driven applications that integrate with enterprise systems using machine learning, generative models, LLM orchestration, and backend engineering best practices.
The ideal candidate brings expertise in Python, FastAPI, Generative AI frameworks (LangChain, Hugging Face, LlamaIndex), Azure/OpenAI, NLP, and hands-on experience implementing secure, production-grade ML solutions in the financial domain.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize AI-driven backend services and microservices using Python and FastAPI.
Build, fine-tune, and deploy LLM-based solutions, including prompt engineering, model inference optimization, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and NLP workflows.
Develop secure, scalable APIs and integrations with enterprise systems, databases, and cloud platforms.
Implement MLOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, evaluation, versioning, and drift detection.
Work with Azure/OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain/LangGraph, Vector Databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Chroma, Elastic), and Kubernetes for orchestration.
Collaborate with architecture, data engineering, and application development teams to design robust, compliant, and enterprise-ready AI solutions.
Write comprehensive test cases using Pytest and ensure high code quality using CI/CD best practices.
Conduct performance tuning, scaling, and optimization for LLM inference, token usage, and latency.
Follow enterprise governance, regulatory compliance, ethical AI standards, and security best practices (PII masking, RBAC, encryption, audit logging).
Required Skills & Experience
12+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Python (async programming, OOP, multi-threading, best practices) 2 4+ years of experience in AI/LLM development, NLP, RAG, and model fine-tuning Hands-on experience with frameworks and tools such as:
FastAPI / Flask / Django
LangChain, LangGraph, HuggingFace Transformers
Vector Databases: FAISS, ElasticSearch, Pinecone, Chroma
Azure OpenAI / OpenAI API / Google Vertex AI / AWS Bedrock
Experience with relational and NoSQL DBs (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
Strong experience in Pytest, CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions/Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes Cloud deployment experience preferably Azure Strong knowledge of design patterns, microservices architecture, REST APIs, and event-driven systems
Experience working in financial services or regulated environments (nice to have)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with financial risk modeling, regulatory reporting, digital banking use cases, or enterprise automation.
Knowledge of MLflow, Weights & Biases, Databricks, or Ray for distributed AI workloads.
Experience with DevSecOps, API security, OAuth2, JWT, encryption, token policies.
