Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer - Informatica IICS to support data integration, automation, and analytics efforts across the organization. The engineer will analyze business needs, automate data processing, develop ETL pipelines, and enhance existing data systems. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, improving data workflows, and supporting a modern data integration hub using Informatica IICS, Oracle/Snowflake SQL, and other enterprise data technologies.



Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business objectives, user requirements, and operational processes to identify data integration and automation opportunities.
  • Perform cost/benefit analysis and evaluate alternative technical solutions.
  • Develop detailed documentation of user needs, program functions, and steps required to build or modify data workflows.
  • Review system capabilities and constraints to determine feasibility of requested enhancements.
  • Acquire and integrate data from multiple sources using Informatica IICS / PowerCenter.
  • Design, build, and optimize complex Oracle/Snowflake SQL scripts, views, and materialized views.
  • Automate ETL workflows to support analytics and data visualization tools such as Tableau.
  • Build and configure components of a centralized data integration hub using agile SDLC methods.
  • Create Epics, User Stories, and tasks for development and testing activities.
  • Support integration, load, and performance testing of data pipelines.
  • Develop automated verification and validation processes for data quality.
  • Work closely with Data Architects, DevOps, and Engineering teams on solution design and implementation.
  • Participate in sprint planning, reviews, stand-ups, and all agile ceremonies.
  • Produce technical specifications, diagrams, models, and related documentation.
  • Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and optimize data pipelines for performance.
  • Support ongoing operations, enhancements, and configuration of data integration tools and environments.



Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years developing ETL mappings and workflows using Informatica PowerCenter or IICS.
  • 8+ years acquiring and integrating data from multiple sources such as Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and PDF.
  • 8+ years designing and developing complex SQL (Oracle or Snowflake) for high-performance data processing.
  • 8+ years working as a System Analyst or Data Engineer in analytics, performance management, or data warehouse environments.
  • 8+ years experience with technical writing, diagramming, process mapping, and tools such as Visio, Erwin, MS Office, and MS Project.
  • 8+ years in planning and delivering software platforms across multiple business units.
  • Proven ability to write clean, testable, and efficient code using best development practices.



Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and shift between projects as needed.
  • 4+ years experience working on agile sprint teams.
  • Understanding of security principles related to healthcare data, including PII and PHI.
  • Experience with modern data visualization or BI platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare or HHS environment.
  • Experience with Python scripting for data processing.
  • Experience with JIRA for project tracking.
  • Knowledge of REST/SOAP web services.
  • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub and GitHub Actions.
  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, C#, or MuleSoft development.
