Senior Citrix Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Senior Citrix Engineer (Senior Engineer) to join their team in Houston, TX.

Summary:
This role requires someone with a short ramp-up time who can quickly integrate into the team. The project involves growing the architecture for Citrix, which is not new but will be scaled up to accommodate up to 3,000 users, tripling its current size. The engineer will work with different partners and report to the team lead.

Responsibilities:
* Citrix Engineer will grow and scale the Citrix architecture to support up to 3,000 users
* Collaborate with network, telecom, and Citrix teams to address ongoing challenges
* Transition from VMware virtual desktops to Citrix VDI, addressing issues with capacity limits, training, onboarding, and developing the structure
* As a Citrix Engineer, you will handle migrations and post-migration activities
* Work closely with the team lead and other partners to ensure smooth project execution

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience with Citrix architecture and scaling
* Strong background in network, telecom, and virtual desktop environments
* Proven experience in transitioning from VMware to Citrix VDI
* Experience with migrations and post-migration support
* Ability to manage capacity limits, training, onboarding, and developing structures
* Ability to work with different partners and stakeholders effectively

This role is ideal for someone who has previously managed similar projects and can bring their expertise to ensure a successful transition and scaling of the Citrix environment.

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
