Be a part of the Protected Antijam Tactical SATCOM (PATS) is a family of programs that will provide secure SATCOM services to tactical users in contested or weather degraded environments. Under PATS, the Protected Tactical Enterprise Service (PTES) program awarded a contract to Boeing to provide ground elements that will enable an operational Protected Tactical Waveform (PTW) capability via Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS). PTES is about one year away from achieving Initial Operational Capability. This is a great opportunity to work with the PTES hardware and software system to integrate the end-to-end operational capabilities. PTES uses Agile project management and software development in collaboration with the government and contractors.

What You'll Be Doing
- Working with Government, Aerospace, SETA and other FFRDC personnel to monitor and evaluate contractor performance, identify technical and performance risks and oversee mitigation activities.
- Working closely with contractor personnel to participate in the PTES end-to-end integration effort and demonstration
- Proactively engage with government partners to support IT&E and MOT&E events including attending regularly scheduled meetings and working group
- Participate with site Installation, checkout and site acceptance test activities
- Applying skills and adaptability in systems engineering, software, hardware, networking, and cloud computing environments to identify and resolve issues during integration
- Participating in technology working groups, reviewing and evaluating contractor submitted documents for technical accuracy and completeness, and identifying and mitigating program risk.
- Overseeing roadmap and product backlog activities and working closely with the contractors to ensure program success.
- Providing status to the Air Force customer and interacting with other Integrated Product Teams as needed.

What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- B.S. in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical subject area
- Typically, 8 or more years of relevant scientific/engineering experience that includes experience in large and complex systems
- 3 years or more years of hands-on experience in
- deploying cloud native microservices
- integration of hardware and software systems
- working with container orchestration platforms such as OpenShift, Rancher, or canonical Kubernetes
- working with CI/CD technologies such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or GitLab CI/CD
- Willing to travel regularly
- Current secret clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance
- Ability to lead tasks and to work on multiple tasks concurrently
How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
- Masters or PhD degree from an accredited program in Computer Science or engineering
- Hardware and software integration experience with satellite communication
- Experience with infrastructure as a service platform such as AWS, Azure, or CloudStack
- Deployment automation technologies including Terraform, Ansible, and Helm
