JOB DESCRIPTION:

We re seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of ten years of experience for our client s DC Metro office. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity within a dynamic and progressive firm. The successful individual will work closely with our business development team and other discipline leads in developing technical proposals and will take a proactive role in marketing/business development. This role provides the opportunity to help build and mentor a dedicated team of engineering professionals within a collaborative multidiscipline office. This candidate will be working directly with clients providing consulting services.

The ideal candidate will have experience in providing engineering for a variety of projects involving HVAC systems, plumbing systems and coordinating multifaceted projects. We are seeking innovative, results-oriented individuals who value high standards of performance and collaborative teamwork.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  • Bachelor s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) (required).
  • 10+ years of engineering work experience including:
    • Designing HVAC and plumbing systems.
    • Managing and designing multiple concurrent projects.
    • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings.
    • Leading design team efforts.
    • Managing project team for budget and schedule control.
    • Experience with Load Calculation Software.
