Job Description

Enterprise Horizon Consulting Group is seeking a dedicated Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and be passionate about facilitating efficient and productive team collaboration. As a Scrum Master, you will guide and support our development teams in the adoption and implementation of Agile practices, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products. This is a remote position.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Organize and facilitate all scrum related meetings (stand-ups, program increment planning, sprint planning, sprint review, retrospectives, other reviews, demos, etc.)
  • Work with the team to develop project plans, roadmaps and manage backlog
  • Communicate team plans, report impediments for escalation, identify risks/concerns to relevant stakeholders to help resolve
  • Guide and coach the team on Agile/Scrum principles and practices
  • Help the team identify and remove impediments to progress
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is well-defined and prioritized
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork
  • Track and report on project progress and team performance
  • Support the team in achieving high levels of performance and quality
  • Foster an environment of transparency, trust, and open communication

Requirements


  • Active clearance highly desired. Must be able to pass federal background check.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within an Agile environment for federal or DoD project
  • Significant experience and demonstrable abilities working with agile development team as follows:
    • Facilitating daily standups
    • Helping the Scrum Team maintain their product backlog
    • Setting up retrospectives, sprint reviews, and sprint planning sessions
    • Shielding the team from interruptions during the sprint
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks, particularly Scrum
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Significant experience and demonstrable abilities working with product owner's SMEs and stakeholders as follows:
    • Walking the product owner through technical user stories
    • Encouraging collaboration between the Scrum Team and product owner
    • Assisting the Scrum Team in estimating the effort required to complete the tasks agreed to for the Sprint
    • Familiarity with IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC) a plus
