Senior Power BI Developer

We are currently seeking an individual to join our team as a Senior Power BI Developer.  This position is NOT REMOTE and will be based in our corporate office located in Nashville, TN.

Job Overview:

As a Senior Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions for an organization. You will work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design, and develop reports and dashboards, and ensure that data is accurate, reliable, and secure.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop business intelligence solutions using Power BI.
• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders to determine the best course of action for developing reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with other developers, analysts, and business users to ensure that the solutions meet the organization's needs.
• Develop and maintain data models and metadata to ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.
• Design and develop custom reports, dashboards, and scorecards.
• Ensure that the solutions are optimized for performance and can handle large volumes of data.
• Maintain and support existing IBM Cognos Analytics solutions, including troubleshooting issues and providing timely resolutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and system design documents.
• Participate in training business users to develop reports and dashboards.

Requirements:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Experience designing and developing custom reports, dashboards, and scorecards in Power BI.
• Proficiency in SQL and/or other programming languages
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Capable of communicating effectively in both verbal and written form
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience developing and administering Power BI solutions
• Experience with administering/upgrading IBM Cognos Analytics 11.1 or higher is a plus
• Experience administering IBM Cognos Analytics in an environment with IBM Planning Analytics is a plus
