    Job Description

    Location: New York City, NY
    Salary: $77.00 USD Hourly - $85.00 USD Hourly
    Description: Our client is currently seeking a UX/Visual Designer III

    Project Overview:

    Providing visual design direction for the critical projects in Sheets and Forms including detailed spec and components library work
    • Tables in Sheets
    • Gen AI features in Sheets (e.g. Tablesmith, Turbofill and other new initiatives)
    • Sheets + Looker studio integration flows


    Overall Responsibilities: (Share 2-3 sentences about the POSITION)
    • In charge of general visual design language in Sheets and Forms
    • Creating Sheets component library utilizing Google's existing design language.
    • Provide the visual design direction for the major projects in Sheets and Forms


    Top 3 Daily Responsibilities: (3+ bullets of the main responsibilities on the assignment)
    • Attending meetings and identifying the visual design opportunities
    • Collaborating with PM, UXDs and engineers to the actual design spec and user flows
    • Documenting the final decision and provide the appropriate guidance for other designers.


    Mandatory Skills/Qualifications: (All skills, both technical and soft, required to be successful in the role)

    • - 7+ years or experience
    • Bachelors Degree
    • - As a Senior UXD on the Design Systems team within Google Ads you will be responsible for conducting product audits, identifying patterns, and creating flexible, enterprise-focused components that can be used by all of Google Ads products with a core focus on the interaction and behavior of the components.
    • - Understand all of the Google Ads products patterns and components
    • - Define the standards for existing and new requirements for Google Ads
    • - Design new patterns and components for built on Google's Material brand language to reflect the needs of Google Ads Products
    • - Document the usage, accessibility, and design specs for components within the Google Ads Design System spec
    • - Own the review process between multiple teams within Google (Reach, Eng, Material) and address feedback
    • - Respond to and close bugs related to current components by improving designs
    • - Work closely with Eng and PM partners to ensure components and patterns are well-documented
    • - Contribute strategically to the development of an improved process around pattern definition and documentation.
    • - Create aesthetically excellent work that is true to the Google brand spirit.
