Job Details

Job Title: Security Analyst- Applicants must be located in the state of Indiana
Location: Indianapolis, IN- Hybrid
Duration: 6-Month Contract

Job Summary:
The role is responsible for auditing and monitoring IT systems containing confidential information, assisting with risk management, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. The Security Analyst wills support system security monitoring, log management, security audits, and policy development, while working closely with IT teams and end users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor systems for security issues and report status to management.
  • Assist in configuring and analyzing data, application, network, and IAAM logs.
  • Support preparation for federal and state security audits (e.g., IRS, SSA, FBI, SBOA).
  • Develop, implement, and maintain information security policies, standards, and SOPs.
  • Recommend security safeguards for new and existing systems.
  • Perform periodic security audits and generate reports.
  • Stay updated on laws, regulations, and best practices in information security and privacy.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to other staff as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 3+ years working with IT teams, network administration, and security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CRISC).
  • Degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, or Technology preferred.
  • Experience developing and maintaining information security standards.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOC 2, CIS, COBIT).
  • Knowledge of auditing, compliance, and vulnerability management.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • HIPAA experience, IRS/SSA audit experience, network administration background.
