Job Details

JD for Network Architect:

The individual will have designed, implemented, rolled out and troubleshoot critical networks across DC LAN, Campus LAN (and WLAN) and WAN technologies. The role will require expertise in Cisco, VMWare, Brocade, F5, Infoblox, Riverbed, NetScaler and similar platforms and entails driving niche implementations in cutting edge Network Technologies in SDN and SDWAN platforms.

The role will implement niche technologies for our customers in the Networks (Data) domain and will require troubleshooting along with partner BU teams to ensure these implementations meet the business objectives within the timelines committed.

The candidate should preferably have 10 years or more of experience in Network technologies with preferably a CCIE (Data Center) or CCNP. ( Data Center)

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate alternative technologies and architectures in relation to Customer infrastructure needs. Interface with management and vendors to develop and implement new solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Design and manage the rollout of critical network infrastructures to support Customer
  • Products and services, on both a strategic (long term) and tactical (immediate term) level.
  • Perform analytical, technical, cost analysis and CAPEX development work in the planning, design, installation and on-going administration and management of Customers core data networks.
  • Develop expertise in Software Defined Networks, Data Center Underlay (Undelay OEM can be Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki, Riverbed etc.), Campus LAN designs, Automation using Python or similar and Network Simulation and Performance Tools
  • Develop Best Practices for implementation, migration and transition
  • Ensure that network infrastructure is fully documented and performing as required for internal and customer SLA guarantees and expectations by means of specific metrics and measurements.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Should preferably have 10 years of hands on experience in Network technologies.
  • Make use of enterprise monitoring tools (SolarWinds ,Prime, net brain etc ).
  • Devise, plan, deploy, and improve wireless networks from the beginning to implementation by collaborating with vendors, managers, and network engineers.
  • Design and implement WLANs and other wireless networks.
  • Collaborate with different teams to ensure the optimized performance of VoIP and other wireless telecommunication devices.
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of LAN/WAN support and engineering design for voice, data and video networks at Access, Aggregation, and Core network locations
  • Thorough understanding of modern service provider TCP/IP data networks using standards and technologies including but not limited to: MPLS, IS-IS, OSPF, BGP4, STP, RSTP, 802.1q, 802.1ah,
  • Superior knowledge, skills and experience with Cisco routing hardware, software, protocols etc.
  • Ability to work alone as an individual contributor, as a technical lead and as a participant in a team environment.
  • Router, Switch and IP configuration experience is must.
  • Should have done implementation on next-generation technologies like Software defined networking (Cisco ACI, VMWARE NSX etc.) Software defined
  • Hands-on experience on the following products:
    • Cisco Catalyst 6500 and other Catalyst Series switches
    • Cisco Nexus 7K/5K/2K Series of switches
    • Cisco Routers 3800, 3900, 7600 Series
    • Cisco IOS Software and NX OS Software
    • Wireless LAN technologies Cisco or Aruba
    • WAN Acceleration/optimization Cisco WAAS or Riverbed
    • Application Load balancers F5 BigIP LTM/GTM ,Net scalar
    • Cisco ACI and VMWARE NSX
    • Infoblox for DNS ,DHCP and IPAM
    • SDWAN : Velo cloud
    • Network Management HPOV, NNM, SolarWinds, ORION etc.
  • CCIE (Data Center) or CCNP
