Job Overview:

The Junior Data Analyst will support the data analysis team by collecting, processing, and analyzing data to help make informed business decisions. The role involves working closely with senior analysts and other stakeholders to turn raw data into actionable insights. You will assist in preparing reports, visualizing trends, and ensuring data integrity across different sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Collection & Preparation:
  • Gather data from various internal and external sources (databases, spreadsheets, APIs, etc.).
  • Clean and preprocess raw data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
  • Prepare datasets for analysis by transforming and structuring data in a usable format.
  • Data Analysis:
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Use basic statistical methods to interpret data, identify trends, and make recommendations.
  • Assist senior analysts in performing more complex analyses, such as regression modeling or hypothesis testing.
  • Reporting & Visualization:
  • Create and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
  • Develop charts, graphs, and tables to visualize data and support business decisions.
  • Assist in preparing data for presentations and reports for management or clients.
  • Database Management:
  • Work with various databases (e.g., SQL, Excel, Google Sheets) to extract and organize data.
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency by performing regular data quality checks.
  • Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, finance, operations) to understand their data needs and provide relevant analysis.
  • Assist in ad-hoc data requests and troubleshooting data issues.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Google Sheets.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio.
  • Knowledge of basic statistical concepts and analysis.
  • Ability to learn and work with various data manipulation tools (e.g., Python, R).
