Job Summary

This position will be responsible for supporting a manufacturing operation related to product and process quality and expected to participate in troubleshooting quality issues; compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data; and identifying problem solutions. Specifically, this position will lead and/or support quality engineering activities related to day-to-day production in a regulated medical device manufacturing facility across the following Quality Systems: Environmental Monitoring, Non-conformances, CAPA, and Complaint handling.

Core Responsibilities

  • Identifies, creates, maintains data, and publishes quality trends. Identifies and implement opportunities to improve quality systems and manufacturing processes.
  • Ensures the timely completion, approval of environmental monitoring testing, resolution of failures if any, and reporting of associated metrics.
  • Provides direction to teammates to ensure that the required resources are in place to successfully execute activities for Environmental Monitoring Testing, CAPA, NC's and Complaint Handling
  • Administers and supports the timely resolution of CAPA's, NC's, and Complaint Records
  • Monitors CAPA, NC's, and Complaint records to ensure targets (e.g. timeliness, quality, etc.) for records are met.
  • Participates as a key member in both external and internal audits throughout the global organization.
  • Facilitates the CAPA/Nonconformance and Complaint Review Boards, ensuring that significant and recurring issues are escalated and driven to resolution as needed.
  • Provides information and participates (as needed) in Management Reviews
  • Performs other work-related duties, as assigned by management.


Qualifying Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 -10 years of manufacturing and operations experience
  • 1 - 5 years of Quality and/or Process Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, is a plus
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio
  • Six Sigma certification or Statistics experience is preferred.
