Job Description
Role: SQL Server DBA with Azure experience
Location: Oaks, PA
Mode of Hire: Full Time
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong experience with SQL Server Support and Migrations as a DBA.
- Should have strong experience working in on-prem servers.
- Should have exposure to cloud platforms.
- Should have strong knowledge on troubleshooting like backup and restore, setup challenges, indexes, admin issues, complex performance issues etc.
- Need candidate who worked on cloud platform, a person with good knowledge on Azure cloud in particular would be preferred.
- Good experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Policy Management & performance tuning/optimization
- Good working experience of T-SQL (Indexes, Triggers, Functions, Packages and Procedures)
- Strong experience with SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2017; familiarity with SQL Server 2019
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
- Good in SQL query tuning and schema refinement
- Experience with Windows Servers & AD.
- Good understanding of Linked Servers and Aliases
- Strong communication
- Self-starter capable of working independently.
- Experience in serving clients using ITIL (Incident, Change & Problem Management) process.
- Good client-facing and internal communication skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible, team player with perseverance to deliver at any cost.

DESIRED SKILLS
- Certification on SQL Server as a DBA.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Candidate should possess 5+years of working experience as a SQL DBA.
- Should be ready to provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.
- Able to handle production issue
- Independently analyze, solve, and fix issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
- Interact with client for issue resolution
- Able to follow the incident/change/problem management process
- Understanding of ITIL Vx.x and its components
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.
- Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
- Shifts – Work in different shift timings based on the client need and depending on Release / DR / Onshore Holiday support occasions.
