Prompt Engineer - W2 Only

Job Title: Prompt Engineer
Location: Fully Remote
Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension/hire

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize prompts for various AI applications, ensuring clarity and effectiveness in eliciting desired outputs.

• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to fine-tune AI models based on prompt performance metrics.

• Conduct experiments to evaluate and iterate on prompt strategies, analyzing results and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Work with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and translate them into actionable prompt strategies.
• Analyze chatbot interactions to identify gaps, biases, or inconsistencies and iteratively improve responses.
• Establish best practices and documentation for prompt design, evaluation, and optimization.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in NLP, LLMs, and AI-driven conversational interfaces.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing for chatbot updates, gathering stakeholder feedback and iterating based on findings.
• Analyze chatbot interactions to identify gaps, biases, or inconsistencies and iteratively improve responses.
• Partner with AI/ML teams to fine-tune model behaviors based on real-world feedback.
• Establish best practices and documentation for prompt design, evaluation, and optimization.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in NLP, LLMs, and AI-driven conversational interfaces.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), machine learning, or a related area.
• Familiarity with prompt engineering frameworks and tools (e.g., Google Dialog Flow CX, GPT-4).
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and precision.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
• Knowledge of AI ethics and responsible AI practices.
• Familiarity with user experience (UX) design principles.
• Experience collaborating with business stakeholders, product managers, and UX teams for chatbot design and approvals.
• Ability to conduct UAT sessions and incorporate feedback into AI model refinements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot AI model behavior.
• Excellent communication skills and a user-first mindset.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in data analytics with a focus on AI-driven chatbot development, NLP model optimization and prompt engineering.
