Job Description:
18+ Years Senior Platform Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automation frameworks, self-service platforms, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions that enable efficient and scalable IT operations..
Key Responsibilities:
- Platform Development & Automation
- Build and harden templates for instance-based PaaS solutions using Packer and CIS benchmark configuartions.
- Design, develop, and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
- Automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployments for cloud and on-premises environments.
- Develop self-service provisioning frameworks for compute, storage, and networking resources.
- Establish automation pipelines for application and infrastructure deployments (CI/CD).
- Reliability, Observability & Performance Optimization
- Implement SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) best practices to enhance system reliability and uptime.
- Develop observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or ELK Stack.
- Optimize platform performance, auto-scaling mechanisms, and cloud resource utilization.
- Cross-Team Collaboration & Integration
- Work closely with Platform Operations, Cloud, Security, and Development teams to align automation strategies.
- Integrate ServiceNow workflows with automated infrastructure provisioning and monitoring tools.
- Collaborate on API development for platform integrations and automation-driven workflows.
- Security, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure platform security by implementing role-based access controls (RBAC), network policies, and encryption mechanisms.
- Automate security compliance enforcement and cloud governance policies.
- Support vulnerability remediation efforts through automated patching and compliance scans.
- Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Research emerging technologies to improve scalability, resiliency, and automation capabilities.
- Develop internal best practices and documentation for platform automation and service management.
- Mentor junior engineers and participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD
Observability & Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk
Scripting & Development: Python, PowerShell, Bash, YAML, JSON
Networking & Security: Zero Trust, Firewalls, Load Balancers, API Gateways
Containerization & Orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker, Helm
