Position Description:

Seneca Resources is seeking a skilled Electrician to support electrical systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for a dynamic facility in New Milford, CT. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial and building electrical systems, including power distribution, controls, and automation components. This role is perfect for a motivated, safety-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering quality craftsmanship.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and connect power supply wiring, conduit, lighting systems, and electrical devices for machinery and building equipment.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, controls, automation components, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).

  • Diagnose and replace malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, motor starters, MCC panels, relays, and control buttons.

  • Maintain and repair electrical distribution systems including 3-phase 4-wire 277/480 VAC, 3-phase 4-wire 120/208 VAC, and single-phase 120/240 VAC systems.

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on electrical utilities and systems rated 480V or less.

  • Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) in all wiring and installation projects.

  • Maintain and repair building and exterior lighting systems, including contactors, photoelectric sensors, and emergency lighting.

  • Manage and organize tools, testing equipment, and service van inventory.

  • Complete all required maintenance documentation accurately and on time.

  • Support facility operations and perform additional duties as assigned.


Required Skills & Education:

  • Completion of a certified Apprenticeship Program or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant electrical experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or facilities environment.

  • Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, controls, and NEC standards.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for automation systems, controls, and electrical components.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and safety manuals.

  • Must hold valid electrical licenses/certifications (as applicable) and a valid driver s license.

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
