Our client is looking for a Network Engineer for a 12-month contract and will be working remotely.

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree plus 5+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 + years of xperience with Cisco, Juniper, and Nokia platforms
- Layers 2 & 3 switch and router configuration and management experience.
- Advanced understanding of internet routing protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, BGP, and/or OSPF.
- Experience with isolation of telecom and/or network outage causes and service restorations
- Advanced customer service, organizational interaction, and teamwork skills.
- Proficient and proven knowledge base in DNS, scripting applications related to network architecture and support.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong communication (oral and written), customer service, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Successfully implement network and device maintenance requests.
- Assist in the network migration project. In creating documentation and writing MOPs, and turning up circuits.
- Provide high-level technical & engineering feedback for network performance management configurations, troubleshooting, and service restoration, along with an understanding of switching and routing as it would affect performance management.
- Work with network vendor provider,s troubleshooting and administering network devices.
- Monitor and analyze performance across networks and underlying automation deployments.
- Develop and oversee technical methods, procedures, and assist with complex solution design feedback.
- Develop & document process flows.
- Contribute to advancing the current knowledge base for network device troubleshooting, design, and support documentation.
- Identify capacity and performance issues for network traffic to ensure the continued, uninterrupted operation of systems.
- Provide ideas and improvements for automated systems towards improving network operations efficiencies.
- Properly document network issue resolution and identification through operational ticketing systems
- Maintain network monitoring applications, equipment, and utilities as needed.
- Act as liaison between customer-facing teams, network operations centers, vendor support teams, and peer networks as needed.
