Requirements:

  • The required education for this position is B.Tech.
  • The must-have skills are Redshift and Terraform.
  • 8+ years of experience are required for each must-have skill.
  • The nice-to-have skill is AWS Cloud Native.

Job description:

  • Looking for a skilled AWS Redshift Engineer with 8+ years of experience to oversee and execute the upgrade of our Terraform modules to the latest supported versions.
  • In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and modernizing our infrastructure-as-code by analyzing existing Terraform configurations, identifying upgrade paths, and implementing changes to ensure optimal compatibility with AWS Redshift resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Review current Terraform scripts and modules related to AWS Redshift, database clusters, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Assess compatibility of existing resources with newer Terraform module versions and AWS best practices.
  • Plan and coordinate the upgrade process, including risk assessment and rollback strategies to minimize disruption.
  • Update and refactor Terraform code to leverage new features and improvements available in the latest module versions.
  • Test and validate deployments in development and staging environments before production rollout.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve errors or issues arising during the upgrade process.
  • Document changes, upgrade procedures, and configurations for ongoing reference and team knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, cloud engineering, and database teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality post-upgrade.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing AWS Redshift resources using Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and experience with cloud infrastructure upgrades.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing of infrastructure code.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
