Job Description
Job Summary:
Signature Consultants is seeking a PHP Web Developer for an opportunity with a client located in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting analysis of website and application requirements
- Writing back-end code and building efficient PHP modules
- Developing back-end portals with an optimized database
- Troubleshooting application and code issues
- Integrating data storage solutions
- Responding to integration requests from front-end developers
- Finalizing back-end features and testing web applications
- Updating and altering application features to enhance performance
Requirements:
- Experience with Javascript frameworks: e.g. React, - Angular, Ember, Vue a plus
- Familiarity with Docker/Containerization
- Experience with postgres
- Enthusiasm for open-source
- Ability to move and follow-through with projects and features through full development cycle: requirements, business analysis, code, QA, UAT
- Thinks critically about improvements and solutions - is not satisfied with status quo
- Experience working or working with remote co-workers and clients
- 5 Years' Experience with Web Development
- Javascript/Node.JS, PHP are our primary languages
- 5 Years' Experience improving, maintaining, or contributing to existing codebases and applications
- Well-rounded and comfortable learning and programming in multiple languages
- Strong communication skills - must be able to interface with users to gather requirements, test prototypes, gather feedback
- Experience with Linux/MacOS
- Agile/Scrum
