Job Title: Ab Initio ETL Developer with strong MHUB Experience

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Ab Initio ETL Developer with strong MHUB (Metadata Hub) experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience designing, developing, and optimizing complex ETL workflows in Ab Initio, along with expertise in metadata management, data lineage, and data integration processes within large enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement Ab Initio ETL solutions to support enterprise data integration and processing needs.

  • Work extensively with Ab Initio MHUB for metadata management, data lineage, and governance support.

  • Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and application teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable ETL solutions.

  • Optimize ETL workflows for performance, reusability, and maintainability.

  • Perform data analysis, validation, and profiling to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.

  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures.

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities following enterprise SDLC and DevOps standards.

  • Document ETL processes, data flows, and transformation logic for operational transparency.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in Ab Initio ETL development.

  • Proven expertise with Ab Initio MHUB (Metadata Hub) design, configuration, and integration.

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL performance tuning.

  • Experience in UNIX/Linux scripting, SQL, and working with large relational databases.

  • Exposure to data governance, data lineage, and metadata-driven architectures.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Banking or financial domain experience preferred.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Ab Initio Express>IT, Control Center, Conduct>IT, and Query>IT.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure).
