Responsibilities Include:
- Candidates in this role will work on validating telematic systems.
- This work will be nearly 50% on-machine activity confirming onboard systems communicate and display machine data properly on dealer & customer facing web sites.
- This role will also work deeply in Remote Services, a growing subset of Telematics that allows dealers & customers to do remote diagnostics, remote, troubleshooting, and flash software remotely.
- When not working with a laptop connected to a machine, telematics development engineers also perform bench testing, report bugs and update test procedures, when needed.
Typical Day:
- Developing of validation test activities
- Executing tests
- Documenting issues found
- Reporting to stakeholders
Interaction with team:
- Working with team daily; team of 2. Will also collaborate with telematics teams
- Will be running tests individually; once up to speed will be completing tasks alone around 75% of the time
- Communication with process partners
Work environment:
- 25% in-office 75% on machine/outside
- Option to work from home on average 10% of the time
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or relevant field required.
- 0-2 years experience required.
- Will accept associate's degree with adequate experience
Technical Skills Required:
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software.
- Understanding of electronic machine systems
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics
- Basic mechanic skills
Soft Skills Required:
- Self-starter
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with others/ strong collaboration skills
