    SAIC has a career opportunity for an experienced scientists, engineers, and analysts. We are actively staffing a newly awarded, 5 year contract based in the Fort Meade, MD; this position is located in Salt Lake City, UT. This multi-year contract needs you to fill highly skilled mathematicians, data scientists, engineers, collection managers and analysts. As a Data Scientist, you will turn complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges.

    Responsibilities:
    • Work closely with customers to understand their questions and needs, then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle.
    • Explore data from various sources, discover patterns and previously hidden insights to address business problems, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help senior leadership make informed decisions.

    Qualifications

    Required Experience:
    • Active TS/SCI with polygraph
    • Degree and minimum years of relevant work experience as follows:
      • AA and 12 years of experience or,
      • BA/BS and 10 years of experience or,
    • Experience with Exploratory Data Analysis and Anomaly Detection on unfamiliar data sets, including collaboration
    • Experience with Cyber and Network domain, including Host and Network data, including Netflow
    • Experience with using Python to perform data analysis, mining, and data visualization
    • Experience with the transition of a research capability to an operational product
    • Ability to collaborate with end-users to develop advanced analytic use cases, estimate technical levels of effort, and explain the resulting systems in both a person-to-person and automated fashion

    Desired Experience:
    • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related quantitative analysis field
    • Experience with SIGINT, CNO, or cybersecurity operations
    • Experience in developing and deploying analytics in a CLI, Web Page, or Web Service Prototype
    • Experience in Java development of analytics and web services, including Java build tools, such as Maven, in a classified environment
    • Experience with Distributed Batch and Streaming Analytics
    • Knowledge of strategic planning for increasing the scope and sustainability of Machine Learning
    • Knowledge of Time Series Analysis Graph
