Job Details

This role is critical for maintaining the health, security, and efficiency of a large enterprise endpoint infrastructure, supporting thousands of internal users.
This is a long-term contract opportunity working onsite at the client s headquarters in Malvern, PA, with a hybrid schedule.

Job Summary
The SCCM/MECM Engineer will be responsible for daily administration, engineering, and advanced troubleshooting of the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM) environment. The role requires proven expertise in managing large-scale enterprise deployments, ensuring endpoint compliance, and strengthening security posture through effective patch management.
You will play a key role in ensuring the desktop environment remains stable, secure, and highly available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot the MECM/SCCM current branch environment, including primary sites, distribution points, and clients.
  • Design, create, test, and deploy software applications, packages, and scripts to global endpoints using MECM.
  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot OS Deployment (OSD) task sequences for Windows 10/11 imaging and bare-metal deployments.
  • Manage Microsoft Patch Deployment for Windows and third-party applications; oversee the patch management lifecycle from testing to production.
  • Create and maintain compliance settings and baselines to enforce security and configuration standards.
  • Perform PowerShell scripting to automate tasks and extend MECM functionality.
  • Monitor MECM infrastructure health, performance, and logs (e.g., CMTrace) to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with Security and Operations teams to remediate vulnerabilities and ensure endpoint compliance.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for processes, procedures, and configurations.
  • Provide Tier 3 support for complex issues related to application deployment and client health.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on, professional experience engineering and administering SCCM/MECM in a large enterprise environment (2000+ endpoints).
  • Deep expertise in OSD (Operating System Deployment) and task sequences.
  • Strong background in software packaging, deployment, and patch management.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Solid understanding of Windows OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, and networking concepts.
  • Experience monitoring and troubleshooting MECM client health and distribution points.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have)
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune and co-management strategies.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security tools (Defender for Endpoint, CrowdStrike, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Change, Incident, Problem Management).
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate).
  • Rate: $50/hr (W2 only, no C2C).
  • Location: Malvern, PA (Local candidates preferred; relocation acceptable). Onsite/Hybrid role.
