Senior Security Architect

The Senior Security Architect will lead Security Architecture practice, setting strategic direction and defining secure architecture standards across cloud, data, identity, application, and emerging technologies. This individual will partner with enterprise technology, risk, and business leaders to embed security-by-design across the organization and uplift architectural maturity.

Key Responsibilities

Define and maintain the enterprise Security Architecture Framework aligned with SABSA, TOGAF, and NIST CSF.

Develop and evolve secure reference architectures for cloud, application, data, and identity domains.

Embed Zero Trust design principles across enterprise networks, SaaS platforms, and hybrid cloud ecosystems.

Integrate security architecture into enterprise risk management, governance, and architectural review processes.

Lead and mature the Security Architecture Review Board (SARB) and ensure consistent oversight of solution designs.

Establish automated architecture validation and compliance guardrails within CI/CD pipelines.

Mentor engineering and architecture teams to elevate secure design maturity and architectural thinking.

Drive modernization programs to reduce legacy architectural risk and strengthen resiliency.

Assess and guide the security posture of SaaS platforms, third-party integrations, and API-driven services.

Apply secure architecture principles to AI/ML platforms, data flows, and emerging technologies as required.

Champion innovation and continuous improvement in architecture tooling, automation, and methodologies.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in security architecture or related technical security roles.

Deep understanding of modern enterprise architectures (cloud-native, containerized, distributed systems).

Proven experience operationalizing Zero Trust and secure architecture frameworks.

Experience with identity architecture, including federation, IAM governance, and least-privilege design.

Familiarity with security governance and enterprise risk management practices.

Certifications such as SABSA, TOGAF, CISSP-ISSAP, CCSP, or cloud security certifications (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform) preferred.

Strong communication, influence, and leadership skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for senior stakeholders.
