This is a hybrid opportunity with 3 days onsite (Kingstowne, Alexandria, VA) and 2 days remote.
Essential Job Responsibilities
• Development is performed in an Agile/DevSecOps software development environment/principles/culture.
• Will work on a small agile team to implement a brand-new SaaS software using the latest tools and technologies including Angular, Spring Boot, and Postgres on the AWS platform.
• Write good quality software working with smart people
• Testing: unit testing, performance testing, working with system testers and subject matter experts.
• Take accountability for delivering results
• Ability to translate information, develop insights, and work with differing opinions
• Ability to work collaboratively with a distributed team, and with other vendors across the organization
• Strong listening skills, to understand all opinions & aspects
Minimum Qualifications
• At least 8+ years of professional experience using Java and JEE/J2EE technologies.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience (focus in the technical field a plus, for example engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field)
• Strong Experience with designing and building applications using Java 1.8, Spring framework, JPA, RESTful APIs, log4J, and SQL.
• Solid Understanding of microservices-based architecture Some experience with UI/UX Technologies like Angular, Vue, or React
• Experience with Databases: Databases (Oracle, Postgres) with large datasets
• Experience using cloud-based GIT-based SCM software like GitHub, AWS Code Commit, etc.
• Some experience working within AWS infrastructure.
• Be a self-starter and thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Have excellent analysis, data gathering, and oral and written communication skills.
• Be flexible, learning new tools, technologies, architectural styles is essential

• Test: JUnit, Mockito
