Our client is a major player in the construction materials manufacturing industry, with a strong commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. They are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in leading HR software implementations, specifically focusing on compensation tools or modules.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of a Varicent implementation, an incentive compensation tool. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders and clients to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives.
Senior Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage end-to-end HR software implementation projects, with a strong emphasis on compensation tools or modules
- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines and budgets
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals
- Oversee project scope, milestones and deliverables, ensuring timely and within-budget completion
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as needed
- Provide regular status updates to senior management and stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies
- Conduct post-implementation reviews and ensure successful project closure
Senior Project Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, IT or related field
- Active PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in HR software implementations, specifically related to compensation tools or modules
- Strong understanding of HR processes and compensation management
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work onsite in Chicago 2x/week
- Proficiency in project management tools and software
- Master's degree in Business, HR, IT or related field preferred
- Experience with leading HR software platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM) a plus
- Familiarity with Agile or other project management methodologies preferred
