Network Engineer (Juniper Experience Desired)
Length: 12 months contract
No C 2 C
Healthcare client will be migrating from Cisco to Juniper and needs a Network Engineer to support the implementation of LAN and WAN data communications network. Desired knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, subnet masking, OSI model, related protocols and applications. Experience in link state routing protocol (OSPF, BGP, etc. ), knowledge of VLAN technology, spanning tree, and speed and duplex settings. Troubleshooting techniques and experience (ping, trace route, diagnostics)
Musts:
Strong Network Engineer with Juniper experience
Experience migrating off Cisco to Juniper
Plus:
Network certifications a plus, specifically JNCIA / JNCIS.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Network Implementation Responsible for the installation, configuration and management of technical area of responsibility whether local/wide area network, Remote connectivity, or DNS management including making recommendation for best technical solution, interfacing with vendors, providing documentation, and physical installs.

Network Troubleshooting and problem solving. Possesses knowledge of available tools to troubleshoot and minimize downtime, able to evaluate situation, make sound accurate decisions, and provide root cause analysis in a timely manner.

Network documentation. Works with senior engineers and architect to update / create network diagrams and documentation. Provides assistance in network planning, engineering, architecture and the development of technical standards.

Network performance Using existing tools for monitoring health of the network and capacity planning. Makes recommendation for improving existing network efficiencies.

Remote access Managing Net screen and VPN application, seeks technical solution for allowing remote connectivity to company's infrastructure.

Assists in the development and deployment of processes and/or performs the responsibilities and activities of functions and/or roles defined in ITIL
