We are seeking a Project Engineer for the Powertrain Development & Engineering (PDE) team. The role will be focused on supporting various power train development projects. The project engineer is considered a key point of contact when it comes to the overall status of the project. The candidate will ensure that the key performance (commercial and technical) metrics of the project are being met. This role will be responsible for maintaining project timelines, support engineering activities, and ensure that all specifications are being met.

Role:
  • Gather requirements from requesters and identify potential stakeholders that may support the execution of the project.
  • Learn from of Sr. project engineers both in engineering fundamentals and their project management strategies.
  • Ensure that timelines, requirements, and gates are being met for multiple projects.
  • Identify blockers that may affect project timelines and identify solutions (other team members, equipment, and external sources).
  • Interface between all powertrain groups and manage competing priorities.
  • Utilize the experts across all the powertrain groups and coordinate their skills to help deliver projects.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of the project that allows for concise historical archive.
  • Host and drive meetings while creating accurate action items.
  • Provide regular and detailed project updates.
  • Provide engineering support that develops and maintains technical documentation (i.e. schematics, drawings, guides, manuals, etc.).
  • Follow standards, guidelines, best practices to deliver quality products.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues that may be software, hardware, system, or product related to determine root cause and corrective action.
  • Communicate technical issues through written or verbal methods.
  • Ability to think fast while adapting to changing requirements and issues that happen in a fast paced and agile environment.

Qualifications:
  • 4+ years' experience with bachelor's degree or 2+ years and master's degree.
  • Strong knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, preferably in the automotive EV space
  • Ability to study & understand electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and architectural drawings.
  • Ability to interface with facilities and communicate the requirements of a project
  • Proven experience and knowledge of powertrain components.
  • Ability to develop schedules/timelines, manage budgets & risks, optimize resources, and manage stakeholders.
  • Exposure to automotive testing or automated assembly lines.
  • Exposure to AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
  • Exposure to test automation systems for both software and hardware (i.e. LabVIEW, MATLAB, etc.).
  • Strong Experience in software & hardware troubleshooting skills (i.e. root cause analysis).
  • Strong organization and ownership mindset.


Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid's equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. Base Pay Range (Annual)

$102,000 - $139,000 USD
