Role: Quality Analyst

Job Description:

Review requirements and design documents to ensure adequate understanding of developing test plans, test scenarios and test cases for cloud based ETL projects.

Creates and executes test cases to ensure appropriate test coverage, log/track defects.

Mine for data, backend validation, and perform data quality analysis via SQL.

Python scripting experience and backend automation experience.

Estimate effort required to perform all QA activities assigned.

Lead distributed teams at projects level - Lead multiple projects from QA perspective.

Lead defect triage meetings for their projects - Responsible for UAT /user demos.

Active participation in Agile/project ceremonies and lead as an SME.

Provide recommendations and lead (as applicable) to streamline and improve processes.

Coordinate and communicate with Project resources across the distributed teams to complete assigned projects.

Document status and final reports for QA activities.

Document and lead risks mitigation plans during project lifecycle.

Troubleshoots and resolves or recommends solutions to a diverse range of complex software testing problems.

Uses judgment within defined policies and practices (includes software and technical documentation solutions).

Assist with UAT as needed for data creation.

Required:

At least a year of experience in python scripting /exposure testing.

Experience working in cloud of at least 2 years.

Advanced knowledge Agile, Waterfall and Iterative frameworks.

Advanced knowledge of test management best practices.

Advanced knowledge with Test Management and Automation tools.

Hands-on DB testing experience with one or more DB platforms.

3+ year of healthcare domain knowledge.

Minimum 6 years of relevant QA experience with multiple release cycles.

Experience and skills in mentoring co-workers.

Ability to lead multiple projects.

Experience with leading distributed teams.

Demonstrated strengths in coordinating, attention-to-detail, follow-through, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Possesses project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.

Possess strong people and communication skills.

Cloud experience.

ETL Testing- Minimum of 4 years experience in Information Technology Software QA ETL testing and/or development.

Expert in understanding databases and data warehouse design and experience writing complex SQL queries.

Experience using ETL tools such as Informatica, Cloud exposure (Big Query, spanner).

Experience in QA automation specifically for data related -backend validations.

Data Integration Testing.

Minimum of 4 years experience in back-end middleware/integration platforms.

Strong understanding of relational database design.

Design, formulate, and optimize test strategy of data transfers across various system integration transfer protocols such as Siebel, Oracle, SQL Server, FTP, TCPIP, https, web services (Rest/Soap).

Desired:

Ability to have good understanding of system components and their integrations.

Knowledge of Performance and Automation Testing practices.

Automation Testing:- Minimum of 5 years experience.

Advanced working knowledge of Java or VB script/C#.

Experience with developing test automation framework.

Knowledge of architectural and design patterns, core design concepts, unit testing, and configuration management best practices.

Experience working within the Netezza Data Warehouse environment.
