Description
We are looking for an experienced Software Developer to join our team in Augusta, Maine. This role involves working with cutting-edge technologies, including C#, PostgreSQL, and Visual Studio, to enhance and maintain critical software systems. As part of a long-term contract, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions while collaborating with other developers and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Analyze, design, code, test, and document software solutions to meet business requirements.
Develop enhancements and resolve production issues within the GenTax system using established programming standards.
Implement change requests and track modifications in the Fast Central Repository, adhering to project guidelines.
Coordinate work with fellow developers to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Conduct structured code reviews and walkthroughs to maintain high-quality standards.
Plan and execute necessary process steps to meet project goals and deadlines.
Collaborate with technical and business personnel to address challenges and provide effective solutions.
Continuously improve processes and ensure alignment with best practices.
Present complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Provide expertise in database environments and recommend optimal solutions based on past experience.
Requirements
Proficiency in programming with C#, PostgreSQL, and Visual Studio.
Strong knowledge of software development processes, including coding, testing, and documentation.
Experience with systems such as GenTax, DV-VS, UI-PL, or similar programs.
Ability to plan and execute tasks independently, with minimal supervision.
Proven expertise in structured code reviews and process improvement.
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with technical and business stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to resolve issues and manage risks effectively.
Familiarity with database environments and modeling techniques.
