Job Title: Sr. IT Business Analyst

Job Location: Tampa, FL / Dallas, TX (Initially Remote till COVID)

Job Duration: 12+ Months Contract (Possibility of Extn. Or Conversion to FTE)


Job Description:

Duties: Essential Functions and Responsibilities

o   Business Requirements Analysis

o   Partners with business stakeholders to analyze, define and document business requirements, within and across functional areas

o   Drives best practices during requirements gathering and modeling

o   Has a strong focus on gathering core requirements, beyond stated requirements and correctly places these within a broader context

o   Stakeholders Business Relationship Management

o   Understands business environment and helps to connect/align relevant business stakeholders Process Modeling and Design

o   Understands business environment and helps to connect/align relevant business stakeholders Stakeholder Management

o   Manages stakeholder expectations and communications within and beyond functional track

o   Knows business environment well enough to identify and proactively include the correct stakeholders


Solution Design

o   Interacts regularly with senior management level stakeholders, and demonstrates value from realized projects Solution Design

o   Working as part of a global IT organization centered in California USA, BSAs must have substantial communication, relationship building and influential skills that will allow them to gain confidence, understanding and support from their US counterparts in order to be perceived as part of the global but extended IT team

o   Responsible to design and document cross-functional and global solutions, drawing on functional expertise of functional and technical team members or vendors, as appropriate

o   Advises on solutions prepared by peers or supporting team, and champions good design practices Documentation

o   Create detailed functional design documents (mainly Configuration and Functional Design Documents) for setup, conversions, interfaces, and reports.

o   Coordinate with IT development teams to manage the development process and resolve issues

o   Documents and reviews broader team documentation

o   Supports team in identifying and defining relevant documentation templates pertaining to solution delivery

o   Develops functional designs for applications, integrations and conversions

o   Ability to work on multiple functional areas and integrations with third party products

o   Keeps up to date with industry trends and vendor capabilities to produce robust functional designs

o   Reviews functional designs and obtains sign-offs with the cross functional business and IT teams

o   Provides inputs into business processes based on design capabilities

o   Champions sustainable, forward-looking functional designs Architecture



o   Testing & Test Design

o   Prepare and execute testing plans to ensure high quality results

o   Coordinates integration testing, validates test cases with stakeholders for user acceptance testing and training, and obtains sign-offs

o   Coordinates defects clarification, triage and coordinate resolution with engineering teams

o   Designs forward looking configurations by recognizing future needs aligned with the business roadmap

o   Configuration and Solution Delivery

o   Ability to Manage multiple application releases and projects

o   Manages/leads individual consulting resources as assigned

o   Designs release scope and schedule in line with business goal, prioritization and IT capacity System Configurations

o   Configures applications in line with business goals

o   Develops configuration standards

o   Support and Sustaining Operations

o   R2R Day to Day Support (Production Support)

o   Monitor implemented systems and processes to ensure high performance.

o   Manage support requests to ensure timely and thorough resolution of issues.

o   Leads troubleshooting efforts on critical issues with cross functional teams through resolution

o   Identifies improvements to address repeat issues Training and Change Management

o   Prepares management communications and gets stakeholder input for recommendations and improvements


Key Systems Requirements

o   Experience in implementing Oracle Cloud Financials, at least 1-2 full implementation cycle.

o   Experience in FCCS, EDMCS and FAH.

o   Experience in Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS) R12 Financials R2R (GL, FA, AGIS (including SLA)) Deep understanding of P2P processes and O2C processes is required.

o   Deep understanding of SQL, PL/SQL, Workflows and Oracle technologies.

o   Knowledge of Project Accounting will be plus.


Other Skills

o   Good oral and written communication skills; including process documentation

o   Good analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, task and project management, and organizational skills

o   Experience working with IT development staff on complex projects

o   Good understanding of finance principles and practices

o   Good analysis, project management, and reporting capabilities

o   Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of other business systems analysts and cross functional peers to support deadlines

o   Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently


Education: Qualifications and Experience

o   A minimum of 7 years of experience is required.8 to 10 years of experience is preferred

o   A Bachelor of Science/Engineering Degree with Accounting domain knowledge/degree preferred

o   Demonstrated ability to have completed multiple, moderately complex technical tasks
