Title: Front-End (UI) Developer – Only W2 Profiles
Description: STG is a SEI CMMi Level 5 company with several Fortune 500 and State Government clients. STG has an opening for Front-End (UI) Developer.
Please note that this project assignment is with our own direct clients. We do not go through any vendors. STG only does business with direct end clients. This is expected to be a long-term position. STG will provide immigration and permanent residency sponsorship assistance to those candidates who need it.
Job Description:
The team is looking for an experienced Software Engineer specializing in Angular Javascript framework and with UI/UX Designer experience. As a developer, you will be part of a 10-person product team delivering software leveraging eXtreme Programming, TDD and using cloud technologies like PCF and CI/CD tools like Jenkins. In this environment, the Software Engineer is expected to work in a pair developing working, elegant, tested code based on proven Lean/Agile methods. Engineers work across the full stack of technologies to enable the highest priority work to be delivered.
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience developing UI frontend using JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React, Vue, etc.)
- 2+ years of experience in UI/UX Design
- 3+ years of experience in Object Oriented development
- 3+ years of experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Passion for learning and willingness to work in a pair programming environment.
Experience Required:
- Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Design Principles
- Familiar with eXtreme Programming (XP) practices including Pair/Mob programming and Test-first/Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience with developing and deploying to cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry
- Knowledge of SQL databases
- Experience with CA Agile Central (Rally), backlogs, iterations, user stories, or similar Agile Tools
- Highly effective in working with other technical specialists, Product Managers, and business partners.
- Passion for learning and willingness to work in a pair programming environment.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and take initiative when solving unexpected problems.
