Mechanical Design Engineer (Healthcare & Pharmaceutical)

Seeking a Mechanical Engineer to Lead the design of Complex Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Projects. Conceptual Design experience using Revit Software Required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years focused on healthcare or pharmaceutical facilities.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License Required.
  • Proven experience delivering design-build projects from planning through occupancy.
  • Deep understanding of HVAC, chilled water, steam, cleanroom, and ventilation systems.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant building codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated success in leading design teams, managing client expectations, and delivering high-quality technical work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and mechanical system modeling tools preferred.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead mechanical engineering efforts on healthcare and pharmaceutical design-build projects, from concept through construction.
  • Serve as the technical authority, overseeing mechanical system design, engineering standards, and quality assurance.
  • Manage and mentor engineering staff and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams including electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
  • Provide technical review of designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and code compliance.
  • Support project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and client communications.
  • Develop project proposals, including scope definition, design approach, resource planning, and cost estimating.
  • Represent the firm during client meetings, design charrettes, and on-site construction reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare and pharmaceutical design standards, including cGMP, FDA, USP 797/800, and ASHRAE guidelines.
