Data Engineering & Analytics Portfolio Manager - Technical PM
Location: Orlando, FL (5 Days Onsite)

Overview:
We are seeking a Data Engineering & Analytics Portfolio Manager to oversee the development and execution of data platform initiatives on Microsoft Fabric, with a particular emphasis on the unique needs of the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have a background in hospitality, strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and proven experience quickly ramping up in dynamic, multi-stakeholder environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee data engineering and analytics programs leveraging Microsoft Fabric, including Data Warehousing (DW), Business Intelligence (BI), Big Data, and personalization initiatives.
  • Drive project management efforts across multiple data and analytics portfolios relevant to hospitality operations and guest personalization.
  • Collaborate closely with business and product management teams, engaging in roadmap discussions, requirements gathering, and prioritization of data initiatives.
  • Manage processes and communications with multiple stakeholder groups to ensure business alignment and optimal delivery outcomes.
  • Translate business user needs into technical requirements, collaborating tightly with engineering teams for rapid, high-quality execution.
  • Write clear user stories with precise acceptance criteria and lead backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, demos, and retrospectives.
  • Present work during regular companywide or portfolio-wide demos; create and sustain strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Drive release and acceptance testing planning to ensure high-quality product delivery to business stakeholders and end-users.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of solid Data Project/Product Management experience, ideally in hospitality, travel, or e-commerce/retail domains.
  • Hands-on experience managing projects on Data Warehousing, BI, Big Data, or analytics platforms (experience with Microsoft Fabric strongly preferred;
  • Experience in one of MS Fabric, Azure Synapse, Databricks or Snowflake is a must
  • Strong written and oral communication skills able to bridge technical and business audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
  • Experience with agile delivery processes (writing user stories, backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, retros, and release management).
  • Local to Orlando, FL preferred; candidates must be able to work onsite

Nice-to-Have:

  • Deep hospitality domain knowledge and a passion for guest-centric solutions.
  • Previous experience with e-commerce or retail data solutions.
  • Microsoft Fabric certifications or hands-on platform experience.
