Job Details

Our client, a leading open source software solutions provider, is currently in need of a Senior Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 Application Deployment Consultant for a 1-month contract position. The consultant will work remotely, supporting RH OpenShift Container Platform 4 deployments. They will be tasked with, Participating in technical discussions with EC & IST application team to understand technical requirements and establish implementation plan, Assisting with Scheduling / Orchestration workflow process development and delivery , Assist with implementation of streaming out Observability data from MKS (Morgan Stanley Kubernetes Service) to the Kafka instance, etc.

Required Skills:

  • Experience Leading Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 application deployments
  • Experience participating in technical discussions with EC & IST application team to understand technical requirements and establish implementation plan
  • Experience assisting with Scheduling / Orchestration workflow process development and delivery
  • Experience assisting with implementation of streaming out Observability data from MKS (Morgan Stanley Kubernetes Service) to the Kafka instance
  • Experience participating in technical discovery around application states and understanding what the application requirements will be around application and POD states
  • Experience providing recommendations and assist with any identified changes to applications and application functionality to accommodate required Application state with Kubernetes API integration
  • Experience reviewing requirements and provide application recommendations around using OpenShift Kubernetes APIs for scaling-up and scaling-down
  • Experience exposing incompatible application state via REST API or similar capability to allow application to fetch the state that it should be in and drive application behavior, as implemented in application code
  • Experience preparing recommendations around requirements for application redesign to integrate needed custom application states
  • Experience implementing and building customized features in MKS (e.g., Operator) to auto-scale (up or down) the POD in MKS and not intervened by Flu
  • Experience implementing and building customized features (e.g., Operator) in MKS to support compatible scheduling capabilities (e.g., scaling Pod counts to zero) not intervened by Flux
  • Experience troubleshooting and remediating any issues associated with the scheduling / orchestration implementation on MKS
