Job Purpose

Prospective candidates will plan, document, oversee and implement temporary and permanent IP network environments within client’s temporary and permanent project-based locations. This includes, but is not limited to WANS, LANs, WLANs, routers, switches, firewalls, servers, reporting, monitoring and VoIP platforms.

Duties and responsibilities

  • This person should be outgoing, approachable, and comfortable being the face of the network team to our clients
  • Confidently self-develops, executes, and coordinates project deliverables with project managers to provide comprehensive and trackable milestones internally and externally with client
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Leads network systems design, development, testing, installation, operations, management, and maintenance concepts and methods
  • Demonstrates true leadership skills and keeps team motivated
  • Function as lead onsite engineer for events and projects
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure with a team and as a individual given different project environments and objectives
  • Capable of research and development integrating new technologies into our client networks
  • Function as both a leader and team player
  • Create and cultivate a collaborative culture and strategy for network team
  • Visionary for our tech strategy who researches the market and trends of our industry
  • Maintains and manages security procedures for internal and external business needs
  • Provides agenda for weekly calls, follows up providing pertinent updates and notes
  • Develops and updates documentation pertaining to engineering processes and procedures which aids in the engineering teams development
  • Manages projects, maintenance and troubleshooting SUT’s digital and virtual solutions (
  • Drives development, configuration, installation, and maintenance of IP network standards, protocols, and procedures including local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs)
  • SIP standard-based HD collaboration servers & endpoints
  • Able to accurately define, troubleshoot, and configure common network terms and concepts such as MPLS/VPLS, VLANs, DHCP, HSRP, NAT/PAT, QoS, VSS, NAC, VPN, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, PBR, TFTP/SFTP, etc
  • Understanding of all issues concerning the network and systems administration of PCs, printers, mobile devices and other technologies
  • Ability to identify and effectively troubleshoot network challenges
  • Ability to efficiently terminate and troubleshoot network cabling such as Cat 5e/6 cables
  • Familiar with fiber optics terminologies and capabilities
  • Frequent Travel (domestic and international)on average 7 to 10 days per month
  • Must have valid Passport and Driver's License
  • Ability to interface and effectively communicate with clients and team members
  • Advises, follows and enforces Health and Safety company policies with specific attention to COVID-19 related protocols

Qualifications

  • Remote residence will NOT be considered
  • Relocate before starting work (Required)
  • Must be able to commute/relocate:to the SUT Offices in San Francisco, 94124
  • 10 years as Network Administrator or equivalent experience related to this position
  • 5+ years of experience related to temporary environments or event technology space
  • Strengths with Windows Servers
  • Experience with VMware
  • Experience with Active Directory
  • Network Design & Maintenance
  • Professional Certification Required- CCNP (Security, Datacenter, etc.)
  • Team Oriented
  • Detail Oriented
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Must be able to stand, bend over, kneel, reach with both arms, lift up to 40 lbs. and walk long distances

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
