Data Center Technician

• Responding to high-severity events within SLAs


• Participate in Data Center power & cooling events


• Break-fix of servers and network devices


• Troubleshooting of network connections


• Coordinating and building relationships with various Data Center teams


• -Interact with third party vendors & contractors


• Seeking out ways to improve yourself and the processes and systems with which you work


• Contribute to the development of other team members


• Helping technicians bring in the racks to the data center


• Cabling may be needed

1. Need a car to go between sites


2. Reliability status i.e. should be within Canada for 5 years and have ability to get clearance


3. 1 - 3 year (Hardware networking skills/ entry level)


4. Hardware - troubleshoot CPU, maintenance on break fix activity, motherboard, hard drive, memory , power shelfs (PSU/ power supplies) maintain and replace hardware


5. Software - Windows (Linux is a plus) scripting is a plus.


6. Bilingual - Fluent in French and English is needed. (understanding and communicate)


7. Good written and oral skills (follow workflows)


8. Thinking outside of the box to troubleshoot a situation


9. Open to weekends/ rotational shifts
