Job Title: Senior Video Management System Architect
Location: NYC, NY
Our client is seeking a Senior Video Management System Architect to oversee a comprehensive video management system encompassing over 65,000 cameras. This pivotal role requires active engagement with various system management teams, both internally and with clients, to support a network of over 650 servers, 28,000 cameras, and 4,000 users. The successful candidate will be instrumental in maintaining operations of complex hardware and software-intensive systems in a mission-critical environment, while also providing enterprise-level design and support for critical video management systems.

This role is integral to the support and advancement of our video management system capabilities, ensuring operational excellence and strategic growth. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and a collaborative spirit to drive innovation and operational success within our video management systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the architecture of the Video Management System (VMS).
  • Design a robust VMS topology tailored for client needs using Genetec Security Center.
  • Facilitate VMS to VMS integrations and provide ongoing support.
  • Develop and implement proof of concepts to demonstrate value to the customer.
  • Strategically plan and execute software deployments, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Generate comprehensive documentation and Visio diagrams for all video environments.
  • Oversee the deployment of IP and Analog camera equipment.
  • Provide advanced support for video management system post-deployment.
  • Design video solutions that seamlessly connect to stakeholder systems and cameras.
  • Manage system storage allocations and server environments.
  • Lead project management for client equipment and field deployments.
  • Execute system-wide upgrades to enhance the VMS system.
  • Deliver Level 3 Support for the VMS system.
  • Collaborate with the Genetec development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Conduct onsite and remote training sessions for clients as required.
Technical Requirements:
  • Proficiency in various Windows Platforms, both Server and Client.
  • Expertise in Genetec Security Center Server & Client software.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Visio.
  • Certification in Genetec Security Center Omnicast Enterprise.
  • In-depth knowledge of network topologies (UDP, TCP, Multicast).
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Technical writing proficiency.
