Job Details

Will convert to FTE after 3 months.

Jersey City, NJ (3 Days onsite/Week)

We need a Database Architect/Engineer with solid experience with AWS cloud services and NoSQL Databases.

Database Engineer Role

  • Database infrastructure architecture understanding. We will work with application teams who require help in the following,
    • Sizing and capacity planning
    • Performance tuning
    • Resiliency and Disaster recovery.
  • Understand and ability to differentiate database technologies and when to use which type of technology
  • Database migration and conversion. For example, migrating from Oracle to AWS Aurora PostgreSQL. The process and steps entail in these migrations.
  • Ability to be hands-on and research and test out database and data migration solutions.
  • Database skills (Anyone): NoSQL/Cassandra, PostgreSQL, AWS SCT/DMS, Aurora PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redshift.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • Need to have in-depth knowledge and experience with any NoSQL DB.
  • Experience with Python or Golang (Not a development level)
  • Certified AWS would be a huge plus but not required
  • Independent Resource
  • Good communicator
