Job Description:
Pay Range: $55hr - $60hr
  • The Network Wireless Engineer will support wireless network operations and site reliability engineering functions.
  • This role focuses on ensuring high availability, reliability, performance, and scalability of wireless infrastructure.
  • The engineer will partner with cross-functional teams, drive automation to reduce manual tasks, enhance operational efficiency, improve network observability, and support continuous improvement across the wireless environment.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in wireless network operations, wireless SRE, or related areas.
  • Strong understanding of wireless network and security components.
  • Expert knowledge of wireless protocols including 802.11ac, 802.11ax, WPA, RADIUS, EAP, 802.1X.
  • Experience with wireless controllers, especially Mist.
  • Strong understanding of RF fundamentals, site surveys, spectrum analysis, and interference mitigation.
  • Ability to build and interpret wireless heatmaps and optimize wireless environments.
  • Expertise in networking technologies such as TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, VPN, and Layer 2 switching.
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl, Bash).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, Nautobot/Netbox, Netdisco.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and sense of ownership.
Experience:
  • Experience in wireless troubleshooting and optimizing large-scale wireless environments.
  • Experience in identifying performance issues and collaborating with teams for improvements.
  • Experience supporting network reliability, automation, and operational efficiency.
  • Experience partnering with technical teams to ensure supportability of new implementations.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support wireless infrastructure operations to ensure high availability.
  • Partner with architecture and deployment teams to ensure implementations meet production standards.
  • Advocate for and implement automation to reduce manual tasks.
  • Monitor wireless network performance and coordinate improvement activities.
  • Support global wireless environments by enabling and mentoring network support teams.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to resolve production issues promptly.
  • Identify operational improvement opportunities and implement long-term solutions.
Should Have:
  • Strong sense of ownership and systematic problem-solving approach.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple complex tasks.

Qualification and Education:
