Job Title: Security Analyst II

Location: Allentown, PA or Louisville, KY (Hybrid – Tues–Thurs onsite, Mon/Fri remote)
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6 months (through 2/13/2026)

Job at a Glance

The client’s IT Security team is responsible for safeguarding the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information and systems. This hybrid position supports strategic security initiatives and operations, with a focus on architecture, process design, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have an audit/compliance background, exposure to NERC CIP, and a technical understanding of networking.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively understand business needs and apply sound cybersecurity architecture and operations, including cloud security.

  • Protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of corporate information and systems.

  • Escalate unresolved cybersecurity issues or misuse as needed.

  • Provide thought leadership and advocacy for cybersecurity best practices across the organization.

  • Consult with Business Unit and IT Management on:

  • Resource owner responsibilities

  • Enforcement mechanisms that balance security and business risk

  • Cybersecurity audit findings and mitigation

  • Stay informed on emerging technologies and advanced IT security tools/processes.

  • Conduct high-level research and recommend strategic cybersecurity directions.

  • Solve complex IT security issues through well-defined plans.

  • Develop and enhance processes for log review and system security analysis.

  • Design and implement system tests to monitor cybersecurity defense effectiveness.

  • Participate in 24x7 on-call security response rotation.

  • Lead and mentor junior technical staff on cybersecurity updates and practices.

  • Provide technical leadership for project development and implementation.

  • Commit to continuous learning and personal improvement.

  • Use clear communication to present complex security ideas in an organized, persuasive manner.

  • Coordinate and document internal investigations of potential security violations or compliance issues.

  • Support compliance with regulations such as NERC CIP and SOX.

  • Participate in security-related special projects.

  • Ensure consistency of security solutions across organizational boundaries.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer science, math, business, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of IT experience, including:

  • Information systems and security controls

  • Networking, telecom, or application development with cybersecurity experience

  • Minimum 7 years of experience required for lead-level.

  • Familiarity with ICS security vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies.

  • Experience with desktop, mobile, server, network, and web-based security.

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing technologies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Project management experience with the ability to multitask across projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in information/cybersecurity or related field.

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or cloud security-related credentials.

  • Degree in engineering, information security, IS, or computer science.

  • Active Secret Clearance.
