Senior Manager, Data Migration BA

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Migration Business Analyst to join our team for a large-scale Endur Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) greenfield implementation program. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, analyzing, and supporting data migration activities to ensure the seamless transition of critical business data to the Endur platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and technical teams to elicit and document data migration requirements.
  • Analyze current-state data sources, data models, and business processes to ensure accurate mapping and alignment with Endur.
  • Data Mapping and Validation:
  • Develop detailed data mapping documentation between legacy systems and the Endur platform.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy throughout the migration process.
  • Data Migration Strategy and Planning:
  • Assist in defining the overall data migration strategy, including scope, approach, timelines, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Work closely with technical teams to define data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance:
  • Define and execute data migration test plans, including validation scripts, reconciliation reports, and user acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to identify and resolve data discrepancies and defects.
  • Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the primary liaison between business users, technical teams, and project leadership for all data migration activities.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to align stakeholders on data migration objectives and outcomes.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including data migration plans, test results, and issue logs.
  • Provide regular progress reports and updates to project leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in data migration projects, preferably within the ETRM/energy trading domain.
  • Strong understanding of Endur ETRM systems, including data models, processes, and integration requirements.
  • Experience with large-scale, complex data migration efforts, including ETL tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data modeling, and working with relational databases.
  • Familiarity with energy trading and risk management processes, including trading, risk analysis, and settlements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management abilities with a track record of bridging business and technical teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in greenfield Endur ETRM implementations.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard data migration tools and frameworks.
  • Understanding of cloud-based data platforms and their integration with ETRM systems.
  • Certification in Business Analysis or related disciplines is a plus.

Expected Start Date: ASAP

Location: This position requires the candidate to work on-site 4 days per week.
